TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

During the submission of your poetry you will be asked for three things:
1) What experience made you write your poem? (max. 200 words)
2) Your Poem (max. 500 words)
3)  What positive lesson did you take from the experience? (max. 200 words)

Categories

'Nine Ways to Touch the Soul - The Journey' will be split into 9 categories, please keep this in mind when considering the subject matter of your poems. The categories are:

Relationship Breakdown
Abandonment
Feeling Alone
Confusion
Hate
Trust
Freedom to choose
Fear and Insecurity
The Seeker

All successful candidates will be notified of their success throughout the year by email. We will accept all email correspondence from your designated email address as authorisation when we ask for permission to publish your work, so designate an email address that you have sole control over.

Overview

Should you wish to familiarise yourself with the previous publication, Nine Ways to Touch the Soul – The Collection – it is available at most Central Public Lending Libraries within the UK, so no purchase is necessary, if your Library does not hold a copy, they can contact us and we will supply a copy promptly. It is also available for sale on this site, and from all major bookshops.

Poems will be chosen based on their inspirational content and how it links to the writer’s own personal experience. This is open to everyone aged 16 or over, so do not worry if you have never submitted work before, this is about the emotion of your poetry and not about technical content.

1. The competition is open to anyone aged 16 or over.
2. Entries must be in English.
3. All entries must be submitted online at www.momtazi.com/submit
4. Postal entries will not be accepted.
5. Poets selected for publishing in The Poets Gallery will be notified by email.
6. Ownership of submitted poetry always remains the property of you ‘the writer’ and we will do nothing with your entry without written permission from you.
7. Authors of the poems selected for publication in ‘Nine Ways to Touch the Soul – The Journey' will be asked by Momtazi Publishing to grant them the sole right to publish and broadcast their poems for one year from date of release. Other uses of the poem during this time are subject to permission from Momtazi Publishing.
